top 5 gigs I played this year
I've played a lot of shows this year... here are 5 that stuck especially close to my heart (in no particular order)

Two boys walk into a bar, destroy an open stage, and leave.
On the way out the Organiser gives them a hug.
A few days later, one of the boys gets asked to put together an opening lineup for a visiting artist - one Ms. Lucy Duffner - and boom, we have this gig.
My own performance was brief, but what really shone through that night is me flexing my muscles as a host, moderator and organizer. Plus, in terms of atmosphere and sound, Tamtambar is my favourite Venue in the whole city.

This was the moment I knew Deshisami & Bossvonchef were legit.

Zamanad showed what's possible when we go beyond as a community - it meant enough to me that I wrote an article about it.
To be honest, my own set here felt like no big deal... the true measure of myself as an artist that weekend was everything else - the freestyling, the support, the way I try to pay attention to every performance I watch, and the people I got to know. This was a huge step forward for the scene.

#4 - Becoming a community at zamanand
Peace Camp is an iconic Munich Rap Event hosted by Bushbayer (who I interviewed after my Gig there)
so it felt fitting to host my birthday party there - dual-wielding the roles of birthday host and artist in a lineup (and what a strong lineup, geez, Ino, Ricky AND Sunny in the same show?) was challenging but rewarding.
This time, I was in a familiar environment surrounded by friends - something that isn't a given at every rap show - so I took the chance to goof off and experiment. New, unreleased tracks, banter with the audience, and aheh, ah, pushing Brownies into peoples faces. I also got to sing Snowgrave together with Eni, an old school friend of mine.
A success on many frontiers!
#3 - Celebrating my birthday

Lea-Won is hella controversial and also a man overflowing with insight.
So when he told me he was hosting his own Rap Event, I couldn't really say no, eh?
I wrote an article about this Event already but in short, it's really unique,
it offers a chance to connect with artists in a way that you don't really get anywhere else in Munich, and I highly recommend every lyricist gives it a crack at least once.

This is the coolest thing I ever did.
(With the possible exception of something extremely illegal involving a world wonder).
#1 - Making history at lost weekend
IT WAS ALSO A LOT OF WORK
Putting together a band (an all-girls band at that, in an effort to counterbalance how male-dominated the Munich Rap Scene is), turning beats into sheet music, practicing with a band for the first time...
But damn was it worth it!

Sanduna, The Funk Doctaz, and MFG are officially the first Munich Rappers to ever headline at a Lost Weekend Show! Lost Weekend being the place where I met Sandro, Franck and numerous other musicians, the first stage I performed Eddy, and an iconic location within the Munich cultural sphere made the whole thing feel... personal in a way that's completely unique.
I want to play here again. I want to sing and dance and kiss and cry and yell and I'm going to do it and you're all invited to join me.
