Happy Spooktober!
As the spookiest, DOOMiest month of the year draws to a close, we at MFM have lots to share!
New Song!
I dropped a new Song this month!
Ice Pack leans heavily into the Electronic side of things, with strongDaft Punk influences.
I'm really enjoying exploring this new musical style, so you can expect to hear more songs like this in the future!
Another in a long line of songs exploring dark topics over funky jams.
New Event!
MFM is back! And this Halloween we're bringing you something truly special...
A Cypher with rappers and breakdancers jamming on MF DOOM beats
Followed by a lineup of six of the ghastliest rappers the Munich scene has to offer.
And all of it for free, thanks to a generous sponsorship by Tage der Jugend Kulturen
So - see you next Saturday, at 19:30 PM, at the Lights of Art Munich
On the subject of MF DOOM
MF DOOM is my favourite Rapper, and has been for the last three years.
I got into his music after a recommendation from my friend, Sanduna, and his influences have shaped my musical style ever since.
It's a well known fact that how we discover and listen to music now isn't the same as it was thirty years ago... so I asked some other MF DOOM fans about their journeys and experiences with the villains music.
Looking at the MFM Lineup, one name stands out: this is my first time working with Cream!
I was introduced to his music through our mutual friend Captain Balu, and have since become a fan of his unique, aggressive lyrical style.
I thought I'd use this opportunity to introduce you to this fascinating new artist, so
I was thrilled when he agreed to an interview:
New interviews!
There's one more artist I'd like to share with you -
Last month I was out in the Bavarian Woods on an internship, and took the opportunity to listen to some new music.
I skimmed the discography of Freddy Gibbs, AnnenMayKantereit, and Green Tea Bitches... a funky and unique band I discovered on Tiktok.
I got in touch with them, and they agreed to an interview!
